ACO general manager Frederic Lenart has departed the organization effective immediately, it has been announced.

Lenart spent the last six years with the French organizer, having played a managerial role in the operation of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, as well as helping manage the ACO’s involvement in sports car racing worldwide.

A reason for Lenart’s departure has not been given.

“ACO President Pierre Fillon and the board of directors wish to thank Frederic for his years of dedicated service and wish him the best of luck in his new endeavors,” a statement from the ACO read.

Lenart’s replacement will be announced “shortly” according to the ACO.

“The new ACO general manager will continue the strategic and operational plan led by Pierre Fillon in this crucial period for motoring and motorsports,” the statement said.
