Second-Placed No. 91 Porsche Excluded from 6H Silverstone

The No. 91 Porsche 911 RSR has lost its second place GTE-Pro class finish in Sunday’s Six Hours of Silverstone for a ride height infraction.

Per a bulletin issued by the stewards, the Gianmaria Bruni and Richard Lietz-driven car was found to be at a minimum ground clearance of 48 mm, under the permitted ride height for GTE-Pro cars.

The exclusion has promoted the No. 67 Ford GT of Andy Priaulx and Harry Tincknell to second in class, ahead of the 24 Hours of Le Mans class-winning No. 92 Porsche crew of Michael Christensen and Kevin Estre.

Sportscar365 understands that further penalties could still come this evening for other cars, with both of the Toyota TS050 Hybrids having been reportedly under investigation as well.
