27 Cars for British GT Double-Header at Oulton Park

The British GT Championship heads to Oulton Park this weekend for two sprint races on Bank Holiday Monday in the UK, with 27 cars entered across the two classes.

The GT3 class remains unchanged since Rockingham, with the usual contenders set to battle it out in Cheshire.

Jonny Adam and Derek Johnston lead the standings for TF Sport, having won both races so far this season in their Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3.

As per usual, the most common GT3 car in the field is the Aston Martin, with five Vantages in the 15-strong class.

The TF Sport championship-leaders have 75 points each after round two, while second-placed Liam Griffin has 40.5 in his Barwell Motorsport Lamborghini Huracán GT3.

Meanwhile in GT4, the two Stratton Motorsport cars – the Lotus Evora GT4 and Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT4 – have dropped off the entry list.

Aaron Mason is in for Wilson Thompson in RCIB Insurance Racing’s Ginetta G55 GT4, while James Holder has replaced Jamie Chadwick in the No. 44 Generation AMR Aston Martin.

Chadwick, taking a break from racing for her exams, will return to Beechdean AMR to next compete at the Spa-Francorchamps round alongside celebrity chef Paul Hollywood.

Jordan Albert and Jack Bartholomew head the GT4 standings having inherited the win at Rockingham following a post-race exclusion for Anna Walewska and Nathan Freke’s Century Motorsport Ginetta.

The Beechdean AMR drivers have 52.5 points each, while second-placed Graham Johnson and Mike Robinson have 37.5 points from their Brands Hatch win.

Track action starts on Saturday, May 28, while the pair of 60 minute races are scheduled for Monday, May 30.
