Klaus Bachler, Manuel Lauck, Joerg Dreisow and Mark Wallenwein won the Michelin 12H Paul Ricard for Proton Huber Competition after fending off RedAnt Racing in a tightly contested closing phase to the race.

Wallenwein drove the No. 73 Porsche 911 GT3 R to victory by a margin of 3.473 seconds over the No. 93 Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo of Kobe de Breucker, Yannick Redant, Ayrton Redant and Kenneth Heyer at the end of the 24H Series’ first visit to the Le Castellet circuit since 2021.

While the No. 73 Porsche was a regular podium contender throughout the course of the race, taking the race lead at various stages along with the likes of Scuderia Praha and Continental Racing by Simpson Motorsport, the RedAnt Mercedes-AMG fought its way back from earlier setbacks to launch a late challenge for the win.

After first receiving a penalty for pitlane speeding and then suffering bodywork issues, the No. 93 car found itself in contention for victory when it was able to make its final pitstop under Code 60.

Another Code 60 shortly thereafter, this time for the fifth-placed No. 16 Sainteloc Junior Team Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II stopping on track, meant De Breucker had a ten-second deficit to Wallenwein when racing resumed with six minutes to go.

Although the Belgian closed rapidly on the No. 73 Porsche, it was not enough to deny Proton Huber its first 24H Series victory of the season.

The No. 93 Mercedes-AMG finished second, while Benjamin Paque, Jordan Boisson, Patrick Charlaix and Nico Bastian completed the overall podium for TFT Racing.

Andrey Solukovtsev, Vasily Vladykin and David Pogosian finished fourth in the No. 69 Continental Racing Audi, picking up the GT3 Am class victory in the process, with the No. 56 Scuderia Praha Ferrari 296 GT3 completing the overall top five.

Era Motorsport and E2P Racing came home in sixth and seventh, respectively, while Viper Niza Racing finished eighth with a Mercedes-AMG that they had leased from RedAnt and hastily prepared after its own car was severely damaged in a qualifying crash on Friday.

In the GT4 category, a controlling performance resulted in a dominant class victory for the No. 421 Mercedes-AMG GT4 driven by Christopher Jones, Neville Jones and Matthew George.

The British squad crossed the line with a ten-lap lead over the No. 419 Hamofa Motorsport BMW M4 GT4 EVO of Rob, Kris and Mark Verhoeven.
