Rotek Racing has released details of its two-car Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport program for the Hankook 24 Hours of Dubai, in its pursuit of a class win in the SP3-GT4 class.

The No. 249 and No. 250 cars feature a nearly all-American line-up, with backing from primary sponsors AERO Advanced Paint Technology and OCC Lasik.

Mathew Keegan, Jeff Stammer and Derek Welch will helm the No. 249 Porsche, whilst the No. 250 Cayman will be driven by Roy Block, Ian James, Jim McGuire, John Schauerman and Nico Rondet.

“We’re incredibly excited to add another marquee endurance event such as Dubai to those that Rotek competes in,” said team owner Roland Pritzker

“We’ve got two Cayman GT4s, which are such great cars, and a really talented group of drivers, so we’re planning for a good result.”

Keegan comes off a strong season in the American Ferrari Challenge series, having finished second in that championship at Daytona a few weeks ago.

Stammer is a veteran touring car driver, whilst Welch has formula car, prototype and touring car experience.

Block, James, McGuire and Rondet have all competed in IMSA’s Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge, with James having experience in Daytona Prototypes as well, and Rondet in Formula Atlantic.

Schauerman, meanwhile, brings experience from many formula cars.

The No. 250 car will feature a livery created using AERO Advanced Paint Technology, an environmentally sustainable paint appliqué, providing significant performance gains in weight reduction and convenience.

“AERO is an incredible new way to apply paint, and the finished product looks just incredible,” said team manager Christian Miller.

“We’ve been really impressed with the quality and ease of application. It’s far superior to traditional sprayed-on paint.”

The No. 249 is sponsored by OCC Lasik, a multidisciplinary ophthalmology clinic that provides a very intimate and personal experience featuring the latest technology in LASIK.

The 24 Hours of Dubai is set for Jan. 13-14.
