A massive crash has suspended the qualifying race for the FIA GT World Cup with the majority of the field held up in the first-lap collision.
It is unclear how many cars were damaged in the pile-up although only four drivers made it back to the pits following the red flag coming out.
The Mercedes-AMG GT3s of Edoardo Mortara, Maro Engel and Raffaele Marciello and the BMW M6 GT3 of Augusto Farfus were the four cars which made it back to the pit lane.
The collision was caused when reigning champion Laurens Vanthoor hit Daniel Juncadella’s Mercedes which had hit the barrier and stopped on track.
All drivers appeared to escape from the accident unharmed.
