Aston Martin Racing will run two factory entries in next month’s Nürburgring 24, with all six of its FIA World Endurance Championship GTE-Pro drivers behind the wheel.

It will run a Vantage GT3 in the SP9 category and defend its SP8 N24 win with a Vantage GT4 in both the N24 and qualifying race this weekend.

Maxime Martin and Marco Sorensen will join 2017 SP8 class winners Darren Turner and Nicki Thiim in the GT3 entry, while Alex Lynn and Jonny Adam will drive the GT4 car.

In addition to the six GTE-Pro regulars, Peter Cate and former British GT GT4 Champion Jamie Chadwick will join the team completing its GT4 lineup.

“The Nürburgring 24 Hours is a unique event in the world of endurance racing and is rightly considered an important target for us,” said team principal Paul Howarth.

“It is an immensely challenging race for the drivers and team, and it is the perfect test of performance and durability for our car.

“We are bringing a very strong driver line-up with considerable experience of the N24 in a proven car.

“Our clear objective is to get the best result possible and to build our drivers experience for the future.”

The race will mark the current-generation Vantage GT3’s final major 24-hour event as a factory entry before the GT3 car is likely replaced next year.
