Driver Lineups Revealed for Lexus’ Final Super GT Season

The driver lineups for Lexus’ final season of Super GT GT500 competition have been revealed by Toyota, with a total of six LC 500s confirmed for 2019.

The Lexus Team au TOM’S and Team KeePer TOM’s cars remain with unchanged lineups of Kazuki Nakajima and Yuhi Sekiguchi (au TOM’S) and Ryo Hirakawa and Nick Cassidy (KeePer TOM’S).

The other stable lineup is the No. 38 Team Zent Cerumo car, driven by Yuji Tachikawa and Hiroaki Ishiura.

Kamui Kobayashi has been left out of the Super GT lineup and is replaced by Yuichi Nakayama in the Team SARD entry, co-driving with Heikki Kovalainen.

The Team Le Mans WAKO’s car will be driven by Kazuya Oshima and Kenta Yamashita with the latter moving over from the Team WedsSport Bandoh entry.

Yamashita has been replaced by Sho Tsuboi in that car, alongside Yuji Kunimoto.

Toyota Gazoo Racing has also confirmed five cars for the GT300 category, with both Lexus RC F GT3s and Toyota Prius apr GTs.

Panther arto Team Thailand, LM Corsa and K-tunes Racing will each run one Lexus GT3s, while apr is set to campaign a pair of Toyota Priuses.
