Nissan will return to Pirelli World Challenge competition with a pair of factory-backed Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3s, with both James Davison and Bryan Heitkotter set to pilot the Always Evolving/AIM Autosport-entered cars in the sprint race championship.

Confirmation was made Friday during the global launch of the Japanese manufacturer’s 2016 programs.

Davison returns after scoring two overall wins en route to a fourth place finish in the GT championship.

Inaugural GT Academy USA winner Heitkotter, who started off the 2015 season with five class victories in GTA, will take on his first full season as a professional driver in the outright class.

The Ian Willis-led team, which debuted in Blancpain GT competition late last year, will again start the season off with 2014-spec Nissans, beginning with next weekend’s season-opener at Circuit of The Americas.
