Roush Road Racing and Capaldi Racing have forged a partnership that will produce at least a four-car full season Pirelli World Challenge GTS effort for 2015.

Jack Roush Jr. formalizes his relationship with the Capaldi Racing operation. Roush Jr.’s Roush Road Racing team set up out of the Capaldi Racing tent this past season in his first year in PWC.

He’ll continue for a second season in 2015 in his No. 60 Ford Mustang Boss 302R, looking to improve upon his 2014 totals of four podium finishes and one pole, and a fifth place finish in the series championship.

“I have known the Capaldi family for over 30 years,” Roush Jr. said. “They are both great racers and great people, and I look forward to partnering both with them and the strong line-up of drivers on the team this coming year.”

Meanwhile Leo Capaldi’s team will field three additional full-time entries as part of the joint effort.

Brad Adams returns for another season in the No. 96 Ford Mustang Boss 302S, Nick Esayian moves over to the team in another Ford Mustang Boss 302S (his traditional number has been 34), and rookie Dan Martinson moves into the category for his first full-time season.

Esayian finished best of that trio in 2014, ending eighth in points with 11 top-10 finishes. He won his second career GTS race in Round 15 at Miller Motorsports Park, driving one of the TRG-AMR Aston Martin Vantages.

“I have known, respected, and admired Capaldi Racing since my career started in World Challenge in 2004, so it is a real treat having the opportunity to race for Leo, Craig, and Sandie, and partner with a teammate like Jack Roush Jr.,” Esayian said.

“I am very confident that we collectively have the experience, resources, and talent to make a solid run for both the Driver’s and Manufacturer’s Championships.”

Adams ended 14th this season with four top-10 finishes, all ninth places. Martinson moves up after making selected starts in the PWC Touring Car class the last two seasons.

Capaldi Racing also ran cars driven by Tony Buffomante, Joey Atterbury, Craig Capaldi and Austin Cindric in selected 2014 races. A fifth Capaldi Mustang could be possible for selected 2015 rounds.

The PWC season kicks off at Austin’s Circuit of the Americas March 6-8, 2015.
