Wittmer Paces GTS Practice 2 at VIR

Nick Wittmer was fastest in GTS Practice 2 at VIR for ST Racing…

Nick Wittmer led the way for ST Racing in the second GTS Practice session for the Pirelli World Challenge Grand Prix of Virginia at Virginia International Raceway.

Wittmer’s fastest tour of the track of 1:53.715 in his No. 38 BMW M4 GT4 was 0.055 seconds clear of Colin Braun in the No. 04 GMG Racing Audi R8 LMS GT4 in second.

Murillo Racing’s Mercedes-AMG GT4 of Christian Szymczak and Matt Fassnacht were third fastest, with the No. 13 Pfaff Motorsports Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR of Kyle Marcelli and Orey Fidani and Ian James in the No. 50 Panoz Racing Avezzano GT4 completing the top five.

Top honors in the Am-Am category went to Toby Grahovec and Chris Ohmacht in the No. 92 Classic BMW M4 GT4.

The session ran without major incident.

Up next for the GTS competitors is a 45-minute qualifying session scheduled for 10:40 a.m. EDT Saturday.
