Belgian Audi Club Team WRT’s Jake Dennis and Pieter Schothorst led an Audi sweep in Free Practice 1 at Zolder on Friday morning, with an all-Audi R8 LMS top five in the opening Blancpain GT Series session of the weekend.

Schothorst set a 1:30.064, the fastest time of the session, in his No. 3 WRT Audi, going 0.151 seconds clear of the sister No. 5 car of Dries Vanthoor.

The pair of ISR Audis took third and fourth positions, ahead of the No. 1 WRT car of Christopher Mies and Enzo Ide in fifth.

The best of the rest was the No. 42 Strakka Racing McLaren 650S GT3 of Lewis Williamson and David Fumanelli, running in the Silver Cup.

The highest-placed BMW M6 GT3 was ninth, with the fastest Mercedes-AMG GT3 finishing tenth.

Overall championship leader Grasser Racing Team could only manage 13th with its No. 63 Lamborghini Huracan GT3, meanwhile, almost 1.4 seconds down on the pace.

It was a largely clean session, although the Full Course Yellow was brought out midway through purely as a practice run.

Free Practice 2 will get underway at 2:20 p.m. local time.

RESULTS: Free Practice 1
