Tomas Enge put in the fastest time during the first Free Practice session of the Blancpain Sprint Series round at Brands Hatch, as Lamborghini took up the top two spots.

Enge drove his No. 88 Reiter Engineering Lamborghini Gallardo to the top of the time charts early on in the session reeling off a 1:25.146 lap time, edging out Jeroen Bleekemolen in the No. 28 Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini by 0.384 seconds.

The No. 90 Villorba Corse Ferrari 458 Italia put in a strong performance early on by ending up in third, separating the leading Lamborghinis from a fleet of four Audis, led by the No. 1 WRT R8 LMS ultra of Laurens Vanthoor and Cesar Ramos (+0.747s).

The No. 84 HTP Motorsport Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 that won the first Main Race of the season at Nogaro posted the eleventh time, 1.240 seconds off the pace and right behind Alex Zanardi, who was the first of the BMWs.

Ten minutes from the end the session was cut short by a red flag, caused by Philipp Frommenwiler crashing the sole Farnbacher Porsche at Stirlings Bend, with the driver reportedly being OK.

RESULTS: Free Practice 1
