Maximilian Buhk and Maximilian Goetz will drive for Strakka Racing in the full Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup, joined by Alvaro Parente for most of the season.

They will share the team’s sole Pro Cup-entered Mercedes-AMG GT3 with Parente for four of the five rounds although the 2016 Pirelli World Challenge champion will miss the Silverstone race due to his PWC commitments.

Mercedes-AMG works drivers Buhk and Goetz will complete the full five-race season with the Silverstone-based team that has made the switch from McLaren to Mercedes machinery for this season.

David Fumanelli will join them as Parente’s replacement for the Silverstone race in May.

Buhk, Goetz and Parente drove with the team in last month’s Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour while at least Buhk is expected to return for the remainder of the Intercontinental GT Challenge

In addition, Nick Leventis, Lewis Williamson and Chris Buncombe will share the team’s second car, running in the Pro-Am category, with Fumanelli serving as the car’s fourth driver at the Total 24 Hours of Spa.

“We are delighted to have secured such a formidable line-up of talented and successful drivers for Strakka’s debut year with the Mercedes-AMG GT3s,” said Strakka Racing Director Jay Davenport.

“I think we’ve got all the ingredients for a successful season in both the Blancpain Endurance Series and Intercontinental GT Challenge.

“We have enjoyed getting to grips with our move to Mercedes-AMG and will be pushing hard for podiums and wins.”
