GT Russian Team is heading towards a double Blancpain program this year, setting its sights on both the Endurance and Sprint series and thus fighting for the overall  Blancpain GT Series honors.

The team made its debut in the Total 24 Hours of Spa last year and switched to Mercedes for the Nürburging 1000 and the following Sprint races in Zolder and Baku.

It will continue with Mercedes, with Alexei Vasiliev and Platinum-rated Marko Asmer once again behind the wheel.

Asmer will also compete in the GT300 class of the Japanese Super GT series this year, while he’ll end his season with the 12 Hours of Sepang and Abu Dhabi in the Russian Merc.

Further details are expected shortly.
