The Hello Kitty brand will return to the Blancpain GT Series this year, as Kornely Motorsport enters a Mercedes-AMG GT3 with a livery featuring the iconic Japanese character in the Sprint Cup this season.

The German squad is new to the Blancpain GT Series and will field the car for Mercedes regular Kenneth Heyer and Yoshi Mori.

Mori previously competed with Hello Kitty branding in 2015, piloting an Attempto Racing McLaren 650S GT3 in the opening two rounds of the Blancpain GT Series.

Following a heavy crash in the closing stages of the Monza race, his program was discontinued.

The Kornely Motorsport announcement brings the total number of publicly confirmed Sprint Cup entries at 25.
