Raffaele Marciello topped the timesheets in Friday afternoon’s Free Practice 2 for the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup opener at Zolder.

The AKKA ASP driver lapped the Belgian circuit with a 1:29.370 in his No. 88 Mercedes-AMG GT3 to go 0.018 seconds clear of a quartet of Audi R8 LMS GT3s.

Robin Frijns was the highest-placed of the Audi drivers, with his No. 17 Belgian Audi Club Team WRT fully repaired after damage sustained in Free Practice 1.

Sainteloc Racing’s Christopher Haase was third quickest, ahead of the Nos. 1 and 2 WRT Audis in fourth and fifth.

Mirko Bortolotti managed sixth position in the No. 63 Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini Huracan GT3, less than 0.5 seconds off the pace, ahead of the sister No. 82 Grasser car.

Sainteloc led the way in Pro-Am with its No. 26 Audi of Markus Winkelhock eighth overall, while AKKA ASP was also quickest in Silver Cup with the No. 90 Mercedes driven by Nico Bastian.

Unlike this morning’s session, FP2 ran uninterrupted with no major incidents on track. All 22 cars set lap times throughout the 80-minute session.

The new-format qualifying session will take place at 9:15 a.m. local time tomorrow ahead of Race 1 at 3:25 p.m.
