No fewer than 40 cars will take part in the season opener of the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup at Misano next weekend, as an additional two cars have joined the field.

A total of 26 cars are entered in the Pro Cup, against six in the Pro-Am Cup, five in Silver Cup and three in Am Cup.

ISR has added an extra Pro Cup Audi R8 LMS GT3 car for Franck Perera and Marlon Stockinger, while X-Bionic Racing Team brings the total number of Lamborghini Huracán GT3s up to seven.

The Swiss team is new to the Blancpain series and has entered the car in the Am Cup for Bronze drivers Cédric Leimer and Laurent Jenny.

As hinted by Sportscar365, Nick Catsburg joins fellow countryman Stef Dusseldorp on the No. 98 ROWE Racing BMW M6 GT3 at Misano.

The lineup on Attempto Racing’s third Lamborghini Huracán GT3 is now also confirmed, with Davide Valsecchi and Jack Falla set to take part in the Pro-Am Cup.

While Boutsen Ginion’s one-off Red Devils project with Marc Goossens and Maxime Martin has been canceled, the BMW M6 GT3 is still featured on the entry list with Martin and a yet-to-be confirmed second driver.

The second Garage 59 McLaren 650S GT3 still has no drivers listed, while it’s also not clear yet which Audi factory driver will join Maserati Trofeo World Series champion Romain Monti in the second Saintéloc Racing Audi R8 LMS.

The lineups for the three Mercedes-AMG GT3s entered by HTP Motorsport were also confirmed.
