Belgian Audi Club Team WRT will field no less than four Audi R8 LMS ultras in the Blancpain GT Series this season, as the Belgian team remains fully committed to SRO’s international GT championships.

After securing the team and drivers’ titles in the FIA GT Series last year, the Vincent Vosse-led squad will return with four Audis to the rebadged Sprint Series, one car up on last season.

Three Audi R8 LMS ultras will go to battle in the Blancpain Endurance Series with the aim of reclaiming the title after finishing second in the points last season. An additional car is planned for the Total 24 Hours of Spa at the end of July.

As three cars are entered in both series, Belgian Audi Club Team WRT will be in the running for the overall Blancpain GT Series.

Back in December the Belgian squad tested several new potential drivers at the Circuito de Navarra , including newly signed HTP driver Stef Dusseldorp, though the driver line-ups are yet to be announced.

“The Blancpain GT Series is clearly among the most important GT championships in the world,” said Vosse. “We owe it to ourselves to be present in both endurance and sprint events, especially since in the past we managed to conquer both titles. We are certain that we can be among the frontrunners this year as well.”
