Matt Campbell put Wright Motorsports and Porsche atop the time sheets in the second practice session of the weekend for Blancpain GT World Challenge America competitors at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The Porsche Young Professional laid down a 1:32.631 midway through the 60-minute session to edge out the pair of K-PAX Racing Bentley Continental GT3s.

Campbell, in the Pro-Am class No. 91 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R, ended up 0.032 seconds quicker than the No. 9 Bentley of Andy Soucek and Alvaro Parente, with the sister No. 3 entry third quickest with Maxime Soulet and Rodrigo Baptista.

The No. 58 Wright Porsche was fourth quickest, followed by the No. 43 RealTime Racing Acura NSX GT3 Evo of Dane Cameron and Mike Hedlund, who completed the top-five overall.

R. Ferri Motorsport, which currently holds a slim points lead over K-PAX in the GT3 Pro teams’ championship, could only muster the sixth quickest time overall in the session.

All 13 GT3 cars turned laps, with no major incidents reported.

Qualifying is set to get underway at 3:50 p.m. PT.
