Issues for the No. 30 JAS Motorsport Acura NSX GT3 Evo in the pits has given Walkenhorst Motorsport clear sailing heading into the final two hours of the Indianapolis 8 Hour.

The No. 34 Walkenhorst BMW M6 GT3 of Nicky Catsburg holds a 9-second lead over the team’s sister No. 35 BMW of Martin Tomczyk, with Dane Cameron having been in pursuit in the No. 30 JAS Motorsport Acura NSX GT3 Evo.

However, an electrical issues for the Acura on its second-to-final stop has resulted in a lengthy delay in the pits for co-driver Renger van der Zande.

It came after a charge back onto the lead lap for the defending IMSA DPi champion, who got a wave-by during the most recent full-course caution, due to the No. 63 DXDT Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo of Ryan Dalziel that was beached in the gravel trap.

The No. 31 Team Hardpoint WRT Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo of Mirko Bortolotti runs fourth, with the Pro-Am class-leading No. 04 DXDT Mercedes Evo completing the top-five overall.

GT4 is currently being led by the No. 82 BimmerWorld BMW M4 GT4 of James Clay, ahead of the No. 2 GMG Racing Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport.
