The Pirelli World Challenge heads North of the Border next weekend, with the annual event at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Ontario, Canada.

The provisional entry list has been released, featuring a total of 25 cars for the pair of GT/GTA/GT Cup races.

ENTRY LIST: Canadian Tire Motorsport Park

The most important change since the Barber Motorsports Park rounds is that the EFFORT Racing Porsche 911 GT3 Rs are no longer on the grid, following the team’s announcement of its hiatus last weekend.

This leaves Michael Lewis and Patrick Long without a drive; the pair were fourth and fifth in the standings so far.

The GMG Racing Porsche will make its return, with James Sofronas at the wheel, after missing the Alabama round. Following EFFORT’s departure, Sofronas and Andrew Davis will have the only Porsches in the top class.

Johnny O’Connell leads the points standings after Round 7, ahead of Cadillac Racing team-mate Michael Cooper. Alvaro Parente is third for K-PAX Racing.

The GTA entry has reduced from seven to five entries for the Canadian round.

Stephen Cameron Racing, Autometrics Motorsports and M1 GT Racing have all dropped off the entry list since Barber.

Meanwhile, Turner Motorsport has decided to enter one of its BMW M6 GT3s into the class, with Bret Curtis driving.

Scuderia Corsa driver Martin Fuentes is still unbeaten in 2016, and so leads the GTA standings ahead of defending champion Frankie Montecalvo.

GT Cup sees an increase in entries for CTMP, with Chris Green and the Pfaff Motorsports team taking the spec Porsche field up to five cars.

Sloan Urry is leading the GT Cup championship, but the TruSpeed Autosport driver only has a narrow six point lead over Alec Udell.

There will be 15 competitors in the GTS class, down eight from the Barber round.

The new Sprint-X championship will take to the track for its debut at CTMP, and the entry list is expected to be released on Monday.

Track action will get underway on Thursday, May 19, while the GT/GTA/GT Cup, GTS, and Sprint-X field will all have a race each on Saturday, May 21 and Sunday, May 22.
