Ryan Dalziel and David Askew will return to DXDT Racing for a full-season effort in GT World Challenge America powered by AWS, it has been confirmed.

The GT3 Pro-Am class pairing are set for their second season together as co-drivers in the No. 63 Mercedes-AMG GT3, which has been upgraded to 2020-spec Evo configuration for the year ahead.

“Since the end of the 2019 season DXDT and David Askew have not stopped,” Dalziel said. “We used the SRO winter series as race preparations for 2020 and I think it was will prove to be a smart decision.

“We got to use those weekends to not only develop our AMG’s set ups but most importantly work David through race weekend stresses.

“We haven’t yet run the new EVO AMG but we will be this week in preparation for COTA which I’m really looking forward to.

“I believe we have put ourselves as a group into a position to be fighting for the overall Championship this season.”

Askew said he feels like the 2020 season has already started, thanks to his participation in SRO’s winter series.

“I’m looking forward to being back with Ryan Dalziel in the No. 63 USAKCO/DXDT Mercedes GT3 Evo,” said the team owner/driver.

“Ryan and I have some unfinished business from last year and we’ve been working hard in the off-season.”

In addition to the CrowdStrike-sponsored No. 04 Mercedes of Colin Braun and George Kurtz, which will be a brand-new chassis, the Utah-based team will also field a pair of Honda Civic Type-R TCR entries in TC America this year.

As previously announced, CJ Moses will drive one one the entries and will be joined by Scott Smithson in a second Honda TCR car for a partial season effort.

“I’m really looking forward to running these cars and Honda has been fantastic with their initial support and helping us get up the learning curve as fast as possible,” Askew added.

“My daughter Olivia will also be making a couple starts later in the season. She will also be testing with us in May.”
