Ryan Dalziel put CRP Racing atop the time sheets in Pirelli World Challenge Practice 2 at Sonoma.

With his best lap of 1:33.580 in the No. 2 Mercedes-AMG GT3, Dalziel narrowly edged TR3 Racing’s Daniel Mancinelli in the No. 31 Ferrari 488 GT3.

Pierre Kaffer posted the session’s third fastest lap in the No. 3 Magnus Racing Audi R8 LMS.

Michael Cooper was the fastest of the championship contenders, setting the fifth-fastest time in the No. 8 Cadillac ATS-V.R for Cadillac Racing. Points leader Patrick Long was eighth-fastest for Wright Motorsports, with K-PAX Racing’s Alvaro Parente 10th fastest.

James Sofronos took GTA honors in his GMG Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R, followed closely by Michael Schein and Pablo Perez Companc.

The session ended a few minutes early due to trouble for Practice 1 pacesetter Johnny O’Connell in the No. 3 Cadillac.

Qualifying is up next, scheduled for 10 a.m. PT Saturday morning with Race 1 of the weekend scheduled for 2:15 p.m.

RESULTS: Practice 2
