Patrick Long has claimed a convincing flag-to-flag victory in Saturday’s Pirelli World Challenge round at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

Long took his No. 58 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R to a 1.769-second win over the No. 87 Bentley Team Absolute Bentley Continental GT3 of Andrew Palmer in second.

The No. 43 RealTime Racing Acura TLX GT of Ryan Eversley was third, giving the team its first podium finish of the season after a strong run.

For Long, the dominant run translated into his first victory since the season-opener at Circuit of The Americas in March, and first in his debut with the John Wright-led squad.

The No. 88 Bentley of Adderly Fong and James Davison’s No. 33 Always Evolving Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 completed the top-five in GT.

It was a double victory for Wright, with Michael Schein breaking Martin Fuentes’ seven-race win streak in GTA to take top honors in class.

Schein edged out Fuentes for the class win, with the No. 96 Turner Motorsport BMW M6 GT3 of Bret Curtis completing the GTA podium.

Alec Udell, meanwhile, captured top honors in GT Cup, after a tire puncture derailed the pole-sitting and race-leading Pfaff Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car of Chris Green with 26 minutes to go.

Udell picked up his fourth class win of the year and provisionally takes over the points lead of GT Cup over TruSpeed’s Sloan Urry, who finished second on Saturday.

The 50-minute race ran caution-free with no incidents or spins from any of the competitors.

Sunday’s Race 2 from CTMP gets underway at 3 p.m. ET.

RESULTS: Race 1
