CRP Racing’s Mercedes-AMG GT3 will undergo a driver change in this weekend’s Pirelli World Challenge SprintX rounds at Lime Rock Park, with AMG factory driver Raffaele Marciello joining Daniel Morad.

Marciello, a former European F3 champion and GP2 standout, replaces Fabian Schiller in the lineup.

“I have followed Raffaele’s career in Europe for a while now,” said team owner Nick Short. “When the opportunity presented itself to run him as a partner to Daniel in SprintX, I jumped at the chance. He is very fast, so he should complement Daniel very well.”

Marciello added: “I’m really happy to join the team. I will try to give my experience to them and try to help to score some podiums! I’m super motivated and big thanks to Mercedes AMG for the chance.”

Morad and CRP currently sit fifth in the PWC GT SprintX championship, with a second place finish at Round 1 at Circuit of The Americas, and several top-five finishes that followed.

It’s not yet been determined who will share the wheel of the No. 2 Mercedes with Morad in the remaining SprintX rounds at Portland International Raceway and Utah Motorsports Campus later this year.
