McAleer Quickest in GTS Practice 2

Classic BMW took the top two spots in GTS Practice 2 with Stevan McAleer leading the way…

Stevan McAleer topped the time charts in Pirelli World Challenge GTS Practice 2 at Portland International Raceway, leading a Classic BMW 1-2.

The Scot, who shares his BMW M4 GT4 with Justin Raphael, was 0.163 seconds faster than his next closest challenger which was Toby Grahovec in an Am-class BMW out of the same stable.

The No. 55 PF Racing Ford Mustang GT4 of Jade Buford and Scott Maxwell was third overall and second in Pro-Am, followed by the No. 36 BMW of Aurora Straus and Jon Miller and the No. 69 SIN R1 that Hary Gottsacker drivers solo.

Practice 1 pacesetter Drew Staveley finished the session in 12th overall in his Ian Lacy Racing Ginetta G55.

There were no major incidents in the session which saw the top seven cars covered by less than half a second.

Up next for the GTS class is qualifying which is scheduled for 10:50 a.m. PT.
