Alvaro Parente defended from hard-charging Patrick Long to sweep the Pirelli World Challenge weekend at Lime Rock Park for K-PAX Racing.

The McLaren 650S GT3 driver finished 1.109 seconds ahead of Long’s No. 58 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R, having started first and second on the grid, respectively.

Parente led the entire race, with Long following. Johnny O’Connell had started in third position, but he finished 17th after a puncture.

Instead, Kyle Marcelli moved up to the final podium position, in his No. 2 CRP Racing Audi R8 LMS ultra, ahead of Ryan Everlsey in fourth, who had a strong start in his No. 43 RealTime Racing Acura TLX-GT.

Marcelli finished 16.566 seconds back from the leader, showing just how far ahead the leading duo managed to get.

Meanwhile, Martin Fuentes secured his eighth GTA win of the season in the No. 07 Scuderia Corsa Ferrari 458 Italia GT3, coming 12th overall and ahead of Wright’s Michael Schein.

Alec Udell passed Sloan Urry midway through the race for the GT Cup lead, and as such he held on to win for GMG in his Porsche 911 GT3 Cup.

The start of the race was delayed by more than 30 minutes following an entire track stoppage following this morning’s serious accident in warmup between Andrew Palmer and Jorge De La Torre.

Palmer was due to start on pole in his No. 87 Bentley Team Absolute Bentley Continental GT3.

The conditions of both drivers have yet to be released, some seven hours after the accident. Both were airlifted to Hartford Hospital, a Level 1 trauma center.
