Alvaro Parente posted the quickest time in the second Pirelli World Challenge practice session, although Daniel Mancinelli remained the quickest Friday at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

The K-PAX Racing driver reeled off a 1:14.874 in the No. 9 Bentley Continental GT3 to go fastest in the 40-minute afternoon session.

It was, however, 0.063 seconds slower than Mancinelli’s best time from the morning session in the No. 31 TR3 Racing Ferrari 488 GT3.

“This is one of the most fun tracks to drive,” said Mancinelli. “But it is difficult as well. We had a very good Ferrari today and I’m looking forward to qualifying and Race 1 on Saturday.”

The No. 24 Alegra Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R of Michael Christensen ended the session second quickest, followed by Mancinelli’s 1:15.134 time that put the Italian third on the FP2 time sheets.

Scott Hargrove and Daniel Morad completed the top-five in the session.

The No. 61 R. Ferri Motorsport Ferrari of Toni Vilander continued to struggle, posting only the sixth quickest time, just three-tenths quicker than GTA pace-setter Rodrigo Baptista.

Qualifying is set for 9:20 a.m. ET, with rain in the forecast.
