TRG has confirmed that Drew Regitz and Kris Wilson will pilot its Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 in the Pirelli World Challenge SprintX series.

The two longtime drivers for the Kevin Buckler-led squad have teamed up for the five-event program in the GT3 Am class, beginning with next month’s SprintX season-opener at Virginia International Raceway.

Regitz and Wilson will share the wheel of the same Aston Martin that starred in the hands of James Davison in the PWC Sprint round at St. Pete earlier this month, which saw the Australian notch a podium finish.

“[TRG is] where I started my professional racing career and where many of my best driver coaches hail,” said Regitz.

Wilson added: “[Drew] and I do a lot of sim work together but we haven’t actually been teammates before. The Aston Martin is an awesome platform for SprintX and I love the scream of the V12.

“TRG knows the car inside and out and we have high expectations to contend for the championship.

“After winning the GTS championship last year, we are eager to bring home a GT trophy as well.”

Buckler, meanwhile, said he’s confident the pairing in his Aston Martin will be a “winning combination.”

“We are super excited to have this program pairing together Drew and Kris,” he said. “We have been working on this since last year and have put everything together properly.

“We are coming to the series to chase down the GTA championship in SprintX.”
