TR3 Racing topped the time charts in Pirelli World Challenge SprintX Practice 2 at Circuit of The Americas, with Daniel Mancinelli turning in a lap a full 0.591 seconds faster than the next closest competitor.

The Italian, who is second in the SprintX points entering the weekend, turned in a lap of 2:06.411 in the No. 31 Ferrari 488 GT3. No other team broke the 2:07 mark.

Second-fastest was the Texas-based GAINSCO/Bob Stallings Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R of Jon Fogarty and Wolf Henzler, with the No. 9 K-PAX Racing McLaren 650S GT3 third with drivers Alvaro Parente and Ben Barnicoat.

Third place in SprintX points with three races to go, CRP Racing’s Ryan Dalziel and Daniel Morad notched the fourth-fastest time while the championship-leading No. 8 Cadillac Racing ATS-V.R of Michael Cooper and Jordan Taylor were fifth.

Jeroen Bleekemolen claimed Pro-Am honors for Black Swan racing in his Mercedes that he shares with Tim Pappas, while Am-Am went the way of Henrique Cisneros and Peter Ludwig in the No. 30 MOMO/NGT Motorsports Ferrari 458 GT3.

A red flag was briefly displayed for a track inspection when several cars spun in Turn 12 in close succession, but the session resumed shortly thereafter.

The first of three SprintX races this weekend, a makeup for the rain-affected Race 2 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park earlier this season, is set for 7 p.m. CT tonight with streaming coverage available at World-Challenge.com.

The grid for that race, set by the fastest lap from Race 1 at CTMP with a few adjustments for driver lineup changes, can be found here.
