57 Entries for Blancpain GT Endurance Season

A total of 57 cars have been entered for this year’s Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup, including 30 full-season Blancpain GT Series entries, the SRO Motorsports Group revealed on Monday.

Eleven different brands will again be represented in the Endurance Cup, with the possibility of a 12th manufacturer joining later during the season.

The Pro Cup alone a record 33-car entry, while 19 cars make up the Pro-Am Cup and four will battle it out for Am Cup honors.

Strakka Racing has replaced defending series champions Garage 59 for McLaren. The former WEC team has four McLaren 650S GT3 cars entered in both series, including newly signed factory drivers Jonny Kane and Dean Stoneman.

Belgian Audi Club Team WRT will lead the Audi armada with four cars; Sainteloc Racing and ISR will also enter the Audi R8 LMS GT3, while Phoenix Racing is no longer listed.

Four Lamborghini Huracan GT3s are set to do battle for overall honors, with entries from Grasser Racing Team, Attempto Racing and Ombra Racing.

AKKA-ASP, Black Falcon and HTP Motorsport will compete with the Mercedes-AMG GT3, the latter has yet announce its lineups.

A pair of M-Sport Bentley Continental GT3s will be on the grid in Monza for the fourth consecutive year, however, the Team Parker Racing Bentleys have left the series to race in British GT.

Ferrari will be a force to be reckoned with this season, with three 488 GT3s are entered in the Pro Cup under the AF Corse, SMP Racing and Kaspersky Motorsport banners, respectively.

Total 24 Hours of Spa winners ROWE Racing fields two BMW M6 GT3s in the top class again, while newcomer Walkenhorst Motorsport adds a third BMW to the Pro Cup for Nico Menzel, Ricky Collard and Christian Krognes.

While absent in the Sprint Cup, Motul Team RJN Motorsport now has two Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3s in the Pro Cup, but only the No. 23 entry of Alex Buncombe, Lucas Ordonez and Katsumasa Chiyo is backed by the factory.

Emil Frey, meanwhile, steps up its efforts with two fully identical G3-homologated Jaguar XK cars in the Pro Cup.

Nineteen cars are set to battle for class honors in the Pro-Am cup, including two Porsche 911 GT3 Rs from Roock Racing and a third from Herbert Motorsport.

Mercedes-AMG is well represented in the second class with seven entries from Black Falcon, Zakspeed, HTP and AKKA ASP.

Raton Racing, Orange1 Team Lazarus and Team HB Racing are new to the series and all compete with the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 in the Pro-Am Cup.

Other notables in Pro-Am include entries from Oman Racing Team (Aston Martin), AF Corse, Rinaldi (Ferrari), Barwell Motorsport (Lamborghini).

The Am Cup will see a four-car entry for Monza, featuring a mix of two Ferraris, a Lamborghini and a BMW.

The Monza round is set for April 22-23.
