Raffaele Marciello and AKKA ASP are back in the lead of the Total 24 Hours of Spa with three-quarters of the race completed, although a battle between the top six cars has commenced for the lead.

The Italian driver collided with Rene Rast’s No. 1 Audi Sport Team WRT car at the end of the Kemmel Straight and Rast was forced to serve a drive-through penalty for the contact, although the Mercedes-AMG GT3 was largely unharmed.

Despite the penalty, Rast is currently running in second position behind Marciello’s Mercedes, around 19 seconds separated.

Christopher Haase is third in the No. 25 Audi Sport Team Sainteloc entry while Andy Soucek is fourth for Bentley Team M-Sport despite a drive-through penalty for exceeding a driver stint being awarded to that car.

The KÜS Team75 Bernhard Porsche 911 GT3 R led briefly but is now fifth with Michael Christensen at the wheel, while Nicky Catsburg is sixth for ROWE Racing after Tom Blomqvist also led the race for several laps.

Connor De Phillippi and Luca Stolz, in seventh and eighth, are also on the lead lap.
