Attempto Racing’s Audi R8 LMS GT3 topped the timesheets in the second day of the Blancpain GT Series’ pre-season test at Circuit Paul Ricard on Wednesday.

Driven by Pieter Schothorst, Steijn Schothorst and Nicolas Pohler, the car set a best time of 1:53.103 late in the afternoon session to claim the fastest lap of the day.

It is 0.649 seconds slower than the fastest lap from Tuesday’s running, set by the No. 30 Team Parker Racing Bentley Continental GT3.

Grasser Racing Team led the way in this morning’s session with a time of 1:53.350 set by Franck Perera in the No. 63 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 with 29 cars classified within one second.

Only the Attempto Audi was able to beat the Grasser car’s lap time during the afternoon’s running.

Other quick cars during the day included the No. 76 R-Motorsport Aston Martin Vantage GT3, No. 1 Belgian Audi Club Team WRT Audi GT3 and No. 54 Spirit of Race Ferrari 488 GT3.

The end of this week’s test at Paul Ricard closes pre-season testing, with cars next on track for the season-opening Sprint Cup round at Zolder on April 6-8.
