The Bentley Continental GT3 recorded the fastest lap time over the two day Blancpain GT Series test at Paul Ricard.

Guy Smith, Steven Kane, Andy Meyrick, Jamie Campbell-Walter, Duncan Tappy and Antoine Leclerc all took the wheel of the latest GT3 to hit the track.

The M-Sport Bentley Continental GT3 set a 1:56.584 on only its 11th lap in the very first session, a time that remained unbeaten.

The Reiter Engineering Chevrolet Camaro GT3 topped the second day of testing, still 0.589s slower than the Bentley’s time.

While the Camaro was followed by the Ferraris of Kessel Racing (No. 11) and Insight Racing in the morning session, the Chab Evolution and DKR Engineering BMW Z4s improved their times in the afternoon to end up second and third fastest of the day.

The times set by the Audis of WRT (No. 1) and Phoenix (No. 6 and No. 5) in the first session on Tuesday also proved to be competitive as the cars all ended up in the top five of the combined results.

Although it was only a test, it’s still noteworthy to see that the Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 and the Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 never really managed to set a competitive lap time, as the best representatives of both marques only ended up 36th and 39th respectively.

RESULTS: Combined
