TDS Racing has finalized the lineups on both its Pro-Am Cup entered BMW Z4 GT3s for next month’s Total 24 Hours of Spa.
The No. 12 of Nick Catsburg and Henry Hassid that won its class during last weekend’s three-hour Blancpain Endurance Series race, sees the arrival of two additional drivers with 2012 ELMS champion and TDS Racing regular Pierre Thiriet and BMW factory driver Jens Klingmann as the second Gold-rated driver.
“I drove with Marc VDS last year so I know the track and the car pretty well, I did many races on the Nürburgring and others tracks with the BMW Z4,” said Klingmann.
“The car is competitive and I think we could at least make it to the podium. The key is to do as few mistakes as possible or even no mistake at all to end up in front.”
The No. 10 BMW Z4 that will be absent at Wednesday’s testday due to damage sustained during Saturday’s race, sees Onroak driver Olivier Pla reinforce the regular line-up of Eric Clèment, Benjamin Lariche and Nicolas Armindo.
“It is great to be able to compete in this race with them in such good conditions,” said Pla.
“Concerning the team, I know the potential of the TDS Racing and all the work they have done up to now. It will be my fourth participation; I hold this race very dear to me.”
