Audi rose to the top in Pre Qualifying Practice, as the No. 1 Belgian Audi Club Team WRT R8 LMS ultra posted the fastest time ahead of qualifying later today.

Under clear skies, reigning FIA GT champion Laurens Vanthoor ran a best lap of 1:48.002, thereby narrowly improving the 1:48.044 set by Giacomo Petrobelli in the No. 11 Kessel Racing Ferrari this morning.

Once again the No. 333 GT Corse by Rinaldi Ferrari was at the front of the field with the third time, Porsche specialist Marco Seefried certainly showing his pace behind the wheel of a Ferrari.

Ferrari is definitely a force to be reckoned with this weekend as Villorba Corse and the Kessel Racing car that was fastest this morning ended up in P3 and P4.

Despite making an off track excursion, the No. 15 Boutsen Ginion McLaren of Frédéric Vervisch ended up fifth, 0.755s off the pace.

Bentley continues to make a good impression on its debut, with the No. 7 Continental GT3 again got in the top-ten, its sister car however can’t keep up for now and only managed to improve one position to end up in P23 (+1.943s).

The 90-minute session was interrupted twice by red flags near the end, the first one following a heavy impact of the Danish Insight Racing with Flex-box Ferrari at the exit of the Lesmos (out for the weekend), while the second one was caused by the Chinese Brother Racing Team Audi blocking the first chicane.
