Bleekemolen Tops First Blancpain Practice at Zandvoort

Jeroen Bleekemolen and Hari Proczyk started the Zandvoort Blancpain Sprint Series weekend were they left off at Brands Hatch, as their No. 28 Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini topped the first Free Practice Session in the Dutch dunes.

Bleekemolen put in a 1:39.420 early on, which remained unbeaten until the end of the session, and was the only driver to comfortably break the 1:40 barrier.

Fellow Dutchman Jaap van Lagen also got of to a good start at his home track, as the No. 21 Tonino Team Herberth Porsche that he shares with Robert Renauer clocked the third time (+0.821s).

Stefan Rosina made it a Lamborghini 1-2, as he drove the No. 88 Reiter Engineering Gallardo FL2 GT3 to P2 in the final minutes of the session (+0.666s).

The No. 3 G-Drive Racing Audi of Stéphane Ortelli and the No. 84 HTP Motorsport Mercedes of Maxi Götz made it four brands in the top five, while newcomer Team Schubert was the first of the BMWs in eighth (+1.903s).

An off by Fabio Onidi’s No. 60 Bhaitech McLaren at the Scheivlak corner led to a red flag halfway through the session, while the No. 85 HTP Mercedes also paid a visit to the same banked gravel trap, but was able to continue with damage to the rear bumper.
