Ferrari has confirmed two factory-supported Pro class entries for the upcoming GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup season that will involve both of its FIA World Endurance Championship full-time driver pairings.

The marque will increase its presence in SRO’s long-distance series, which it entered last year with SMP Racing along with an AF Corse cameo at the Total 24 Hours of Spa.

AF Corse’s presence in the top category has been increased into a full-time effort for 2020.

The WEC GTE-Pro driving pair of Alessandro Pier Guidi and James Calado will share AF’s No. 51 Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo with current GTE-Am points leader Nicklas Nielsen.

Pier Guidi and Calado are presently second in the WEC drivers’ standings and are also reigning class winners at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and Motul Petit Le Mans.

SMP Racing’s car will be driven by Ferrari’s other GTE-Pro full-season pairing of Davide Rigon and Miguel Molina, along with ex-Formula 1 driver Sergey Sirotkin.

Molina and Rigon were joined by Mikhail Aleshin last year and finished second in the overall standings behind the Orange 1 FFF Racing Team Lamborghini squad.

Ferrari has also confirmed three Pro-Am cars, two of which will be competing in both the Endurance Cup and Sprint Cup elements of GTWC Europe.

AF Corse will field a 488 GT3 Evo for reigning GTWC Europe Pro-Am champions Andrea Bertolini and Louis Machiels in Sprint, while their usual Endurance teammate Niek Hommerson will be involved at the longer races.

Former WEC GTE-Am driver Eddie Cheever III will line up alongside Chris Froggatt at Tempesta Racing, while Jonathan Hui will join the pair for the enduros.

Rinaldi Racing will be present for the long-distance rounds only with a car for 2013 ADAC GT Masters champion Daniel Keilwitz, Rino Mastronardi and Pierre Ehret.
