Mirko Bortolotti put the No. 16 Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini Huracán GT3 on top in Pre Qualifying for the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup finale at the Nürburgring.

The Italian Squadra Corse factory driver reeled off a 1:55.022 early on in the session, improving this morning’s time by more than seven-tenths of a second.

Alessandro Pier Guidi put in a late flyer to move the No. 50 AF Corse Ferrari up to second (+0.284s), right as the first couple of rain drops started to fall near the end of the session.

Following a dominant run in Free Practice, the quickest Audi R8 LMS cars were third and fourth, with the Pro Am-entered No. 74 ISR car ahead of the No. 2 WRT entry of Robin Frijns.

The Zakspeed Mercedes-AMG GT3 of ADAC GT Masters title contenders Sebastian Asch and Luca Ludwig completed the top-five.

The first of the title contenders was the No. 8 M-Sport Bentley Continental GT3 in P17, followed by the No. 99 ROWE Racing BMW M6 GT3 in P23 and the No. 58 Garage 59 McLaren 650S GT3 in P28.

No fewer than 19 cars were within one-second of Bortolotti’s time.

There were no red flags, nor any notable incidents during the session.

Qualifying gets underway at 8:30 a.m. local time tomorrow.
