Edward Sandström and Matias Henkola are the final two drivers to join the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup grid for the season opener at Misano this weekend.

Sandström joins Maserati Trofeo World Series champion Romain Monti in the No. 26 Sainteloc Racing Audi R8 LMS, while Christopher Haase and Mike Parisy will be in the French squad’s second entry.

Furthermore, Boutsen Ginion Racing confirmed Matias Henkola will team up with BMW factory driver Maxime Martin.

The Finnish-Belgian duo’s BMW will compete with five other cars in the Pro Am Cup.

Henkola comes fresh of a seventh place finish in VLN1 last weekend, piloting one of Walkenhorst’s M6 GT3s on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

Martin was originally scheduled to compete with fellow countryman Marc Goossens in a soccer-themed ‘Red Devils’ car. The project was ultimately cancelled following the Brussels terror attacks.

The Belgian won on his last outing in the series, claiming victory at the Nogaro season opener last year with BMW Team Brasil.

With the addition of Sandström and Henkola all 80 seats (40 cars) on the Blancpain Sprint grid are now filled.
