Belgian Audi Club Team WRT posted the three quickest times in the first practice session for the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup opener at Misano.

The No. 33 WRT Audi R8 LMS of Christopher Mies and Enzo Ide went fastest in the final minutes on a damp track, 0.116s in front of the No. 4 car of Robin Frijns and 0.319s clear of Laurens Vanthoort’s No. 1 Audi.

Saintéloc Racing’s Christopher Haase made it an Audi 1-2-3-4 in fourth (+0.504s), while the No. 86 HTP Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT3 of Bernd Schneider rounded out the top five (+0.859s).

Schneider’s teammate Jules Szymkowiak was fastest after the first 40 minutes, reserved for Bronze and Silver drivers only.

Last year’s winning Rinaldi Racing Ferrari 458 Italia posted the seventh time (+1.019s).

There were no notable incidents during the 80-minute session. Night practice will get underway 8:30 p.m. local time.
