The two GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Sprint Cup races at Zandvoort will now take place on the same day to accommodate Nürburgring 24 participants.

Both 60-minute contests for GT3 machinery will be held on Sat., Sept. 26 rather than across Saturday and Sunday as originally planned.

The event schedule for GTWC Europe’s visit to The Netherlands has been compacted to reflect a date clash with the Nürburgring 24 that affects a handful of teams and several drivers.

Zandvoort Free Practice is set to start on the Friday at 9:30 a.m. while track action at the Nürgburgring will begin on Thursday with a pair of qualifying sessions (all times CEST).

GTWC Europe pre-qualifying is bookmarked for Friday at 1:50 p.m, while grid-setting qualifying will be at 5:50 p.m. which is roughly when the N24 pole will be decided.

Saturday’s first Sprint Cup race is scheduled for 9 a.m. with the second going green at 1:45 p.m. and finishing at 2:45 p.m.

This is designed to give N24 competitors time to be with their teams for most of the endurance race which starts at 3:50 p.m. and finishes at the same time on the Sunday.

Zandvoort track action will continue following the conclusion of the GTWC Europe races with Sunday’s timetable featuring the GT4 European Series, Formula Renault Eurocup, Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux and FFSA French F4.
