Guy Cosmo topped the time charts in the second Pirelli GT4 America practice session of the day at Road America, in a diverse field that featured six different GT4 manufacturers in the top-six.
Cosmo reeled off a 2:19.173 lap time in his No. 89 RENNtech Mercedes-AMG GT4 to go quickest of the 45-minute combined GT4 Sprint, SprintX and East session.
His time was 0.422 seconds quicker than fellow GT4 East Pro-Am competitor Andrew Davis in the No. 81 Kelly-Moss Road & Race Audi R8 LMS GT4 in second.
Shane Lewis was third in the session although his 2:18.634 time set in the morning in the No. 72 Robinson Racing Chevrolet Camaro GT4.R stood as the quickest of the day for GT4 America competitors.
The No. 18 Andretti Autosport McLaren 570S GT4 of Jarett Andretti and Trent Hindman’s No. 77 Park Place Motorsports Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport completed the top-five overall.
No major incidents were reported during the session.
Qualifying for GT4 Sprint teams gets underway at 8:25 a.m. CT, with GT4 SprintX and East teams having their two sessions beginning at 9:45 a.m. CT.
