Park Place Motorsports will expand into SRO Motorsports America competition, having confirmed on Wednesday a selected-race program in Pirelli GT4 America with Alan Brynjolfsson and Trent Hindman.
The pairing will share driving duties of the VOLT Lighting-sponsored Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport in this weekend’s GT4 SprintX season-opening round at Circuit of The Americas, with additional SprintX and Sprint rounds planned.
It comes in addition to their full-season commitment in IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge with the same car and drivers.
While new to the team, both Brynjolfsson and Hindman have prior GT4 America experience, having claimed victory in the SprintX round at Virginia International Raceway last year in a VOLT-entered Ford Mustang GT4.
“Trent and Alan did a great job last year, so I’m hoping they kick this season off with a win,” said team principal Patrick Lindsey.
“We’re excited to have them represent the team in the [Pirelli] GT4 America series. They will help spread the message that Park Place Motorsports is open to clients.
“They’re a talented lineup that will make us look good for sure. I had some decent finishes at COTA, but we never won, so maybe they can give Park Place their first win at home.”
