Spencer Pumpelly has stormed to pole for tomorrow’s Pirelli GT4 America Sprint round on the streets of Long Beach.

The TRG driver reeled off a 1:25.916 lap time in his No. 66 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport to take the top spot for the third round of the season.

Pumpelly edged out Sprint points leader Ian James in the No. 50 Pano Avezzano GT4 by 0.198 seconds for the top qualifying spot.

James’ teammate Matt Keegan, meanwhile, claimed GT4 Am class pole honors with an impressive third place run in the No. 51 Panoz GT4.

Keegan’s 1:26.285 lap put him more than 1 second clear of Practice 2 pace-setter Drew Staveley, who qualified fifth overall and second in class.

Nicolai Elghanayan slotted in between the two GT4 Am class competitors in fourth overall.

Remarkably, the top 12 qualifiers were separated by less than one-second.

The 50-minute race gets underway Sunday at 10 a.m. PT time.
