Spencer Pumpelly has claimed his third consecutive Pirelli GT4 Sprint pole in qualifying for this afternoon’s round at Virginia International Raceway.

The TRG driver reeled off a best lap of 1:53.058 in the No. 66 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport to go quickest in the 15-minute session, and nearly seven-tenths clear of the competition.

Pumpelly has remained undefeated in GT4 Sprint qualifying competition so far this season.

Matt Fassnacht qualified second overall in the No. 53 Murillo Racing Mercedes-AMG GT4, who claimed Am class pole honors in the process, ahead of the No. 50 Panoz Avezzano GT4 of Ian James in third.

Robinson Racing teammates Gar Robinson and Shane Lewis completed the top-five overall in their Chevrolet Camaro GT4.Rs, meanwhile.

The No. 10 Blackdog Speed Shop McLaren 570S GT4 of Michael Cooper will start sixth.

It comes after an overnight Balance of Performance adjustment made to the McLarens.

Race 1 for GT4 Sprint gets underway at 1 p.m. EDT with live coverage on SRO’s GT World YouTube page.
