Hagler Has “More Work to Do” in Final Double-Header of Season

Despite having made gains with Racers Edge Motorsports throughout the Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS season, Taylor Hagler feels that she and the team has “more work to do” heading into this weekend’s final double-header of the season at Sebring International Raceway.

Hagler is coming off her second Pro-Am class victory of the season last time out at Watkins Glen International, which has kept her mathematically in the hunt for the title with only two events to go.

The 25-year-old HPD GT3 Academy graduate sits second in the class championship, 58 points behind the Wright Motorsports pairing of Jan Heylen and Fred Poordad, who could theoretically wrap up the title this weekend.

“The Racers Edge team and I have made great strides this season but we have more work to do,” said Hagler.

“Sebring is a place I am comfortable and familiar with in the Acura platform.

“With this weekend being the last double-header of the season, it’s the final opportunity to have two opportunities for championship points. We have our goal ahead and I look forward to getting back to Sebring.”

While having shared the wheel with Jacob Abel at Watkins Glen, Hagler will again be rejoined by Dakota Dickerson this weekend.

The duo gave the Jon Mircachi-led team its first win of the season at Road America, which propelled Hagler and the team into the Pro-Am title fight.

A total of nine Pro-Am entries are expected to take part this weekend, in what has been the most competitive of the three classes this season.

Hagler and her fellow GTWC America competitors will get their first impressions of the 3.7-mile Florida airfield circuit today with a pair of test sessions ahead of the start of official track activity on Friday.
