Jan Heylen topped the time charts in the first of two Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS practice sessions Friday at Sebring International Raceway.

The Wright Motorsports driver took his No. 20 Porsche 911 GT3 R to a best lap of 2:00.088 in the 60-minute session, edging out the Pro class leading No. 33 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo of Mikael Grenier by 0.545 seconds.

Heylen topped the Pro-Am class in the car he shares with Fred Poordad.

The Dennis Lind and Giacomo Altoe-driven No. 9 TR3 Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo was third quickest overall, followed by the No. 93 Racers Edge Motorsports Acura NSX GT3 Evo of Taylor Hagler and Dakota Dickerson in fourth.

Turner Motorsport’s Robby Foley and Michael Dinan completed the top-five in their No. 96 BMW M6 GT3.

Championship leaders Jordan Pepper and Andrea Caldarelli could only muster the sixth quickest time in their No. 3 K-PAX Racing Lamborghini ahead of teammates Giovanni Venturni and Corey Lewis in seventh.

Series debutants Triarsi Competizione led the way in the Am class, which has dropped to a two-car entry following the late withdrawal of the No. 10 TR3 Racing Lamborghini.

No major incidents were reported in the session.

The second and final practice session of the day is on tap for 2:15 p.m. ET.
