Daniel Mancinelli will return to Pirelli World Challenge GT competition for a second consecutive season with TR3 Racing, with the Italian driver set to again pilot the team’s Ferrari 488 GT3 car.

Mancinelli was among the standout drivers in his rookie season of PWC last year, scoring wins at Virginia International Raceway, Utah Motorsports Campus and Circuit of The Americas, en route to a fourth place finish in the GT championship.

His co-driver for the SprintX rounds has yet to be announced.

The 29-year-old teamed with Niccolo Schiro in four of the five weekends last year, with ex-Formula 1 driver Andrea Montermini sharing driving duties in the SprintX season-opener at VIR, where they were victorious in Race 1.

The Miami-based TR3 team is coming off a shakedown of its Ferrari, now in EVO specification, at Homestead-Miami Speedway last week.

Mancinelli returns to the site of his maiden pole, in his PWC debut last year, this weekend at St. Pete.
